BAIUST LIBRARY
BAIUST Library provides up to date services and information resources to the students, faculties, officers as well as staff members of BAIUST. The library team is dedicated to evolve new technologies and ways of services to students and faculties. The library collection is growing day by day (At present total number of books stands above 14,000 additionally 3500 e-books are there). Most of the collections of BAIUST library are closely related to the programs the university offers. All collections are classified, catalogued and displayed using international standards. The library preserves books, periodicals, newspapers, journals, audio-visual materials (DVD/CDs) etc. The library subscribes foreign and local magazines, journals, e-journals, and almost all the leading daily newspapers of Bangladesh.
LIBRARY SERVICES
Lending Service: Library members are entitled to borrow books and other reading materials for their own use by lending and receiving services. Library materials cannot be borrowed on behalf of others.
Internet Facility: Internet facility through WiFi technology and dedicated computers for internet browsing are available at the library.
Reading Room Facility: BAIUST Library provides fully air-conditioned reading room service whereas the total seating capacity is about 80.
Reference Services: Reference materials (Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Journals, Newspapers, Magazines, Reports, Theses, etc.) are for use inside the library and cannot be checked out.
Current Awareness Service: The library regularly keeps its users aware of the new arrivals of resources and services through current awareness service (CAS) using modern techniques and technologies.
Printing and Photocopying Services: Students can print out any necessary documents by TK. 3 for one side of the page and TK. 5 for both sides and TK. 5 for one side color print. A photocopy will charge TK. 1.50 for a single page and TK. 2 for both pages.
E-books and e-journals access facilities: BAIUST library subscribes valuable e-books and e-journals for its users. Any users of the BAIUST library can get access to the subscribed e-resources from the devices which are connected to the university internet system.
